40 Minutes
40 Minutes is a collaboration with Janet Smith, choreographer and Artistic Director at the Scottish Dance Theatre, 1997-2012.
The work was inspired by the New York Grand Central Station’s oral history project where a sound booth was placed in the station to record information from people’s lives for 40 continuous minutes. Scottish Dance Theatre’s 40 Minutes investigates the information and memories people choose to reveal from years of life experience within this specific time frame.
40 Minutes was a touring dance production for the Scottish Dance Theatre.

Here Now, There Now
Here Now, There Now took place over three days in June 2008 alongside some of Scotland’s busiest commuter rail routes from Aberdeen to Edinburgh and Edinburgh to Glasgow.
During the three days the daily routine of the travelling commuter was unexpectedly interrupted by subtle interventions taking place in the landscape at over forty remote locations on either side of the railway lines.
These interventions comprised a series of large scale text works and performances with over 150 performers. Here Now, There Now was devised by Pernille Spence and was the culmination of a Scottish Arts Council Creative Scotland Award.
Writer, Raman Mundair and artist, Anthony Schrag were commissioned to create texts and performances for Here Now, There Now with choreography by Litza Bixler.
